- Top Station derives its name from the old Railway Station built here by a British planter in 1902. It was the terminus station of the Kundala Valley Railway, one of the first monorail systems established in India. It operated as a transhipment station for transporting the tea produced from Kannan Devan Hill Tea Plantation. During the flood of 1924, the railway station was destroyed. The ruins can still be seen in the Tata Tea Museum.
